Diva Wars!

It’s been a while since the last update, and this one looks further than
album sales.. (incl. albums and singles worldwide/USA)

Things have not changed. Madonna is still selling more album copies
worldwide.

This week’s worldwide sales are:
Madonna: 135,000
Mariah: 58,000
(Madonna wins by 77,000 copies)

TOTAL worldwide sales are:
Madonna: 1,878,000
Mariah: 1,526,000
(Madonna ahead by 352,000 copies)
 

SINGLES UPDATE:

Madonna:
Despite being onto he second single already, her FIRST single ‘4 Minutes’ is
STILL the #1 track in the world according to total units sold on iTunes,
downloads and physical sales. The song is currently #10 on USA singles charts as
well.

Her NEW single ‘Give It To Me’ is currently NOT in the top 40 worldwide, nor the
USA Top 50 singles charts…. Maybe because the song isnt all that and the video
is cheap, nasty and all round HORRIBLE!

Worldwide: #1
USA: #3

Give It To Me-
Worldwide: N/A
USA: N/A

Mariah:
Her first single entitled ‘Touch My Body’ is still lingering the top 20
worldwide at #14, which isnt too bad considering it has been out a few weeks
longer than Madonna’s ‘4 Minutes’… ‘Touch My Body’ currently sits 12 spots
below Madonna’s ‘4 Minutes’ at #22 on the USA singles chart.

However, Mariah’s second single is seeing more success that Madonna’s. The tune,
called ‘Bye Bye’ is currently sitting at #31 on the worldwide singles chart, and
an impressive #19 on the USA singles charts.

Bye Bye-
Worldwide: #31
USA: #19

Not much in the album sales with Madonna maintaining her edge worldwide, but
Mariah is the clear leader when it comes to singles.
